Invisalign · North Park, San Diego
North Park is full of professionals and creatives who would love straighter teeth but do not want a mouthful of metal for a year. Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable aligners to move your teeth gradually — most people will not notice you are wearing them, and you take them out to eat, brush, and floss.
Our City Heights office is a straight shot east on University Ave, about eight minutes from the 30th Street corridor. We will tell you up front whether Invisalign is a good fit for your case and exactly what it costs — no bait-and-switch consultation fees, no boutique markup.
From the heart of North Park at 30th & University, head east on University Ave for about eight minutes. You will pass through City Heights and reach our office between 52nd and 54th Streets — on the south side, next to Vien Dong Supermarket. MTS Route 7 runs the full length of University Ave and stops within a block.
Invisalign is a system of custom-made, clear plastic aligners. Each set is worn for about one to two weeks, then swapped for the next in the series, gently nudging your teeth toward their planned positions. Because the aligners are removable, you take them out to eat and to clean your teeth — which makes oral hygiene much easier than it is with fixed braces.
Clear aligners work well for many common concerns: crowded or overlapping teeth, gaps, and a range of bite issues. They are not the right tool for every case — significant bite problems or complex rotations sometimes need traditional braces or a combination approach. The honest answer for your teeth comes from an exam, and we will give it to you straight.
The single biggest factor in success is wear time. Aligners need to be in your mouth roughly 20 to 22 hours a day — essentially everything except meals and brushing. Patients who stick to that get predictable results on schedule; the ones who leave them out get slower, less reliable movement.
We examine your teeth and bite and take a digital scan or impressions. From there we can tell you whether you are a good Invisalign candidate and preview the likely treatment plan and length.
A series of aligners is fabricated specifically for your teeth. We fit the first set, may place small tooth-colored attachments to help certain movements, and show you how to insert, remove, and care for them.
You move through the aligners on schedule, wearing each set the recommended number of weeks. Periodic check-ins let us confirm your teeth are tracking as planned and hand off the next sets.
Once your teeth are where they should be, a retainer keeps them there. Teeth naturally drift over a lifetime, so wearing your retainer as directed protects the result you worked for.
Wondering if you are a good Invisalign candidate?
Clear aligners suit many adults and teens, but a quick exam is the only way to be sure. These are the things that make for a good fit.
Complex bite or rotation problems sometimes need traditional braces — we will tell you honestly if aligners are not the best tool for your case.
