Sorrento Valley is at the center of San Diego's biotech and tech corridor — Qualcomm, Pfizer, and dozens of mid-sized life sciences firms cluster along Sorrento Valley Road and the I-805/I-5 interchange. One of the KinDentists dentists lives in this area, which shapes how we think about patients driving from Sorrento Valley: the commute to our office on University Ave takes about 30 minutes, and we know from direct experience that it is a reasonable trade. Sorrento Valley patients are largely on employer PPO plans (Cigna, Aetna, MetLife, Delta Dental) and expect their dentist to know what the plan covers before the procedure starts. We do. From Sorrento Valley Rd & Mira Mesa Blvd, head east on Mira Mesa Blvd to I-15 south, continue to I-8 east, and exit at 54th Street or Fairmount Ave. Head north on 54th Street to University Ave, then turn west. Alternatively, take I-805 south and exit at University Ave east. Our office is on the south side of University Ave between 52nd and 54th Streets, next to Vien Dong Supermarket.
The COASTER connects Del Mar to downtown San Diego, and express buses run through the Sorrento Valley area. For most Sorrento Valley patients, driving the freeway south is the most time-efficient option.
Our office at 5296 University Ave (Suite I) has free street parking along University Ave and 53rd Street, plus the shared lot for Vien Dong Supermarket next door. Wheelchair-accessible entry and ground-floor treatment rooms.
