About Dr. Khanh Nguyen
Dr. Khanh Nguyen, a proud San Diego native, completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, San Diego, before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of California, San Francisco in 2019.
As a Lieutenant Commander and Dental Officer in the U.S. Navy, Dr. Nguyen had the privilege of caring for sailors and Marines aboard the USS Carl Vinson and led dental planning efforts for the Pacific Partnership 2024 humanitarian mission across the Indo-Pacific.
Driven to further specialize, he is currently pursuing advanced training in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry at Columbia University, where he is refining his expertise in both the surgical and restorative aspects of patient care. Dr. Nguyen is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) and the American Dental Association (ADA).
Known for his gentle approach and attention to detail, Dr. Nguyen takes pride in helping patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their care. He believes in building lasting relationships and creating a positive dental experience for every patient.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Nguyen enjoys scuba diving, surfing, rock climbing, biking, and badminton. He also has a passion for travel and enjoys exploring new cuisines around the world in search of his next great culinary experience.
